Territorial pre-diagnostic field visits: Sidi Bou Othmane, Nzalt Laadem, Had Jaafra and Oulad Hassoun municipalities

Field activities scheduled from April 16 to 18 aimed to conduct a preliminary assessment of the established cooperatives, analyze their organizational and social functioning, and discuss their future prospects and action strategies.

Key cooperatives visited during this period included:

  • Cooperative Abou Lkaram in Sidi Bou Othmane: Founded in 2021, this rabbit farming cooperative consists of 15 members, 8 of whom are women. It is actively working on developing sustainable cuniculture practices to support local agricultural livelihoods.
  • Cooperative Igout in Nzalt Laadem : Established in 2022, this cooperative is focused on agricultural valorization and consists of 19 members, 17 of whom are women. It is currently inactive as it is in the early stages of development, but is expected to begin operations soon.
  • Cooperative Essahabat  in CT Had Jaafra: Created in 2022, this cooperative is dedicated to poultry valorization (Beldi chicken) and has 23 women out of 25 members. Like Igout, it is currently inactive.

Additionally, the visit to Oulad Hassoun Commune highlighted a lower turnout in the workshop, which will be addressed in future engagement efforts.
