The overall objective of this project is to reduce gender inequality as a barrier hindering women from increasing their share in the benefits generated by the development projects funded by the Green Generation in the province of Rehamna. It will also explore pathways for food systems transformation which center gender equity.
To thoroughly investigate, document, and communicate the root causes of gender
inequalities in the Rehamna province and identify barriers hindering women from
benefiting from agricultural development projects equally.
To identify and pilot interventions in the food systems targeted by selected projects
with the aim of reducing gender inequalities and of increasing the share of women in
the benefits generated by these projects.
To formulate evidence-based recommendations to policymakers in general and the
Green Generation developer strategy, aiming at reducing gender inequality and at
enhancing the effective participation of women in agricultural development projects.
To identify and implement a communication strategy to increase the likelihood that
the formulated evidence-based recommendations are adopted by relevant
stakeholders.
To empower Moroccan women agencies and to make them visible and effective,
particularly, to reach a sufficient power of negotiation et became able to promote their
agenda with respect to public policy in the region, mainly Green Generation-
supported development projects.
